I use to have a one button automated Home Theater that I could control from any web browser. My Comcast cable box quit so I had to get a new one. After I received my new Cisco RGN200N, I could no longer control the cable box. In my system, I am using an Ocelot connected to HAL for IR transmission.
Apparently, the IR codes on the RGN200N were not the same as my first cable box and these new codes cannot be learned by the Ocelot. My next step was to try to find and use the HEX codes for the RGN200N cable box. So I went to remote central and downloaded what appeared to be the correct codes (RGN200). Using Addicon software, I downloaded the Ocelot's IR codes to disk; I then modified the codes by pasting in the HEX codes, converting them, and then uploading them (one at a time) into each slot before uploading them back into the Ocelot.
After all that work, my cable box still does not recognize any of the IR codes. Other than using IRmax to covert the HEX to LIR format and then uploading the file into the Ocelot, is there another way to get the HEX codes into the Ocelot?
I also tried transmitting the IR codes directly from the Ocelot, but I still had no success. My conclusion is that I don't have the correct HEX codes, but according to remote central, they are the correct codes for the RGN200N.
Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong?
