I've found that if I sent genuine X10 dim commands (dim, dim, dim, etc) to a Leviton DHC dimmer contained in a command pair, I got sporadic completion.

a snippet of the leviton stuff from mine that worked is:

0099 - IF Receive IR IR #4, from Ocelot
0100 - OR Receive IR IR #26, from Ocelot
0101 - THEN Set X-10 House B / Unit 1, to: 41 %
0102 - THEN Set X-10 House B / Unit 2, to: 71 %
0103 - THEN Set X-10 House B / Unit 3, to: 52 %

Bent,

How can I tell which to use the Leviton or x10. Can I try the send x10 in CMAX and then try the Leviton. Which one works is the one I need to use?

I have tried the Leviton directly from send x10 and it works but I don't know about the standard x10.

Any advice or suggestions would help and be appreciated.

Bill

If your switches are Leviton (or support the Leviton commands) then those commands are usually the best ones to use because they are faster and are usually more reliable then a bunch of relative dims.

To use the relative dims, you need to address the switch first and then send the dims, because the dim command only sends the house code and the dim command. You usually address the switch by sending an On command pair to it.

Guy,

I have a hodge-podge of switches and I don't really know what is Leviton ot compatable or not. What is the best way to check or tell. Is is to just send commands through CMAX or check the part or model number of the switch and look it up on the internet? I have several switches that mount in a gang box just like a regular wall switch and several that are modules that just plug into a wall socket.

I really trying to get into this more a make thanig work and happen, hopefully for the better.

I stell have a motion detector that sends a contact closure to a power flash mudule that sends an x10 command to my Ocelot to turn certain lihgts on from sunset till sunrise, but thete is a 6-10 second delay once I see the LED on the motion detector light up till the lights come on. Is the Ocelot code processing that slow? I have only about 100 lines of code running.

Any more suggestions will be appreciated greatly.

Thnaks,

Bill

Probably its the X-10 side. Basically if i doesn't say Leviton on it the commands probably will not work.
