Hey all
First post here. I'm working with a Leo2 screen at work, and I'm having issues connecting to it.
I have 3 RS-232 devices all connected together on the system, 1 NEC NP2000 Projector, B&K Reference 50 Receiver, and a ETC Unison Dimmer Rack.
When all of these devices are connected to the RS-232 chain, I cannot connect to the touch screen (times out). When I remove the B&K and the Unison rack from the RS-232 chain, I can connect to the screen again. What would cause this?
I've isolated device by device on the RS-232 chain to see if it was a single device causing the problem, and the behavior stayed the same.
Also, with ALL the devices connected, I may not be able to connect with the screen, but I can connect to the individual devices in the chain. For example, with all RS-232 devices connected, serial cable plugged in to the front of screen, if I run the USAP test utility and send a command to the Unison dimming rack, it responds and the lights in the room change to the command I just sent... yet I still cannot connect to the screen.
What is causing this? This has been a frustrating project that's 3 years in the works (staff changes) and it's my goal to get this finished.
I'm not very seasoned at programming with these screens, but I know my way around, and I have a mentor who has custom programmed 40+ Leo screens around the campus, but even he is stumped when it comes to this project.
Any help is appreciated, and accept my apologies if I posted this in the wrong forum.
Thanks!
