Hello all.. Applied Digital Inc. is now manufacturing AUTOMATIONtec 's new Atec line of versatile wireless, IP-enabled sensors. These can provide sensor data on the internet without a local PC running. The system consists of a hub (AT-100) plugged into a router and various battery powered wireless sensors (AT-200-xx). There are temperature, humidity, contact closure, A2D etc. and more in the works.

Sensor status can be viewed from anywhere on the internet on the AT-100's served web page, or you can use the Google Gadget or Yahoo Widget to access your data. The unit can be configured to transmit XML data to your own server if you wish. Email alerts can also be configured on min/max levels of your sensor data and/or a periodic time base. You may also wire the unit into your ADICON network and all the wireless sensor data is available to your Ocleot or Leopard. Available at: http://www.automationtec.net

Hi Dan. Nice to see the official announcement. One question remains: Is an updated executive needed to recognize the sensors on the adnet system? Seems the module list in C-Max would only show the raw module type (eg: temperature would show "25").

Guy,

Right now it just shows the type and version. They are treated as Bobcat modules in the system map and in the If-Then-Else programming.
