What do I need to connect to ocelot with laptop and windows 7 64bit operaton system, old sysem died on my last laptop and it does not work with the new laptop.

C-Max will work with Windows 7 64 bit (I have that myself). You will need a USB-RS232 converter if your computer does not come wiht a serial port installed on it, or install a serial card onto the computer.

Most motherboards for desktop computers still have serial ports on the motherboard but not on the back panel. All you would need would be a cable to attach to the motherboard.
I actually don't know what mine cost - my employer paid for it so I can connect to/interrogate/transfer settings files to our Schweitzer SEL 351r and SEL 651r distribution circuit reclosers. I'm a high voltage electrician with the local power utility.

Having it for the Ocelot is just gravy.
The cost is Over $60! You can buy units just as functional for this application for less than $15.
