I have an Ocelot and SECU-16 module connected to my PC. They were working fine for months and then all of a sudden quit. Here is the status of the lights:

Ocelot
Active - blinks about once every 10 seconds
Comms - off
X10/IR - blinks about once oer second

SECU-16
Active - blinks abour once every 2 seconds
Comms - steadily on

I replaced the Comms chips in both units with new ones. I aslo had these powered by separate power supplies, but I just changed it to where they both are powered by the same power supply in case there was a ground loop problem.

What is the next step?

If Active on the Ocelot only blinks once, then it looks like you need to reload the controller executive in C-Max. Try that, then reload your program, and see if that works.

I just tried that. The programs loaded onto the Ocelot. It looks like my problem is between the Ocelot and SECU-16. I could not retrive te SECU parameters. I tried to address the modules again, and when I press the white button on the SECU, it does not get recognized, and does not get addressed.

Just a little tip, that I struggled with a lot in the beginning...

When you do the auto-address function in CMax, you have to wait anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes before you start pressing the address button on the modules...

Hope this helps.

If the Active LED on the Ocelot is always off (never blinks) then there is something fundamentally wrong with the Ocelot. It means it's CPU is not even running the internal bios. Maybe the flash chip got corrupted.
