Why is it that every time I launch C-Max, all of My Time Settings have defaulted back to: 36, 93 ,-6
I must manually reenter my coordinates Every Time, and if I forget, and update the Ocelot with a new program, I obviously end up totally out of sync.
I'm using C-Max V2.00e5.
ALSO, Why is Daylight Savings Time and Standard Time not automatically changed in the Ocelot...

Ocelot running:
App: V 3.18 Firmware: V8.31/58
The biggest headache is the Long., Lat., and Time Zones in the C-Max Software itself that are simply not saved. So when I change them and click OK, it is there and will load to the Ocelot if I connect to the Controller, BUT if I close and reopen the C-Max sw, all is back to those other settings...
How can I get it to save those settings so I do not have to re-enter them each and every time I start C-Max???
ALSO, does the "Use daylight time" tell it to "Auto Change the time" in March and November, or only to add "+1" to whatever time zone setting is set???

Yes.
---
the Main problem here is that parameters set in C-Max, such as the Time and Location Paramaters, Are Not Saved by the program... So the next time the program is opened, they are back to the defaults!
What needs to be toggled so the program actually saves the parameters set in the Time Settings within the Comms Setup section...

The DST, Latitide, Longitude and Time Zone settings are stored in the computer's system registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SOFTWARE, ADI, CPUXA.
Name Type Data DST REG_DWORD 0x00000001 (1) Latitide REG_SZ 41.72 Longitude REG_SZ 87.99 TimeZone REG_SZ -6
The data fields would contain your settings. Make sure this is in the system registry. Change the data values to your settings then check to make sure the settings took. Something is keeping C-Max from not writing to the system registry. It could be a permissions issue, or some software not allowing us to write to the system registry.

OK - we're moving forward... I just checked the Registry and there is NO ADI folder...
So I re-ran setup and clicked Repair. It completed successfully but still NO entry in the registry.
I'm running windows Vista.
what next? -CL

Well I just found it "deeper" in the registry:
Classes / virtual Store / Machine / Software / ADI / CPUXA
It has my "correct" settings stored... But they are never re-read on the launch of C-Max... -CL

Manually create the entries in the System Registry as I decribed above. Reboot the computer then see if it saves the longitude, lattitude and time zone settings.
I played with it on my Windows 7, 64 bit system and home last night and it saved the settings each time.

Hi.
I just did as you described, manually entering the values and rebooted.
They are not read by C-Max when launched... The incorrect default values are still there.
I went into Regedit and all the values I Manually created are there.
So for some reason the values are not being read... Where is C-Max taking the actual default values from? Are they factory programmed by default so even without any registry keys they will be there...
Is there a way to toggle, or force C-Max to look up the values??? -CL

Chris,
Something is blocking C-Max's access to your computer's registry. Are you running any third party program that could be doing this on this computer? Try disabling your virus checker, any spyware blocking software, etc.
Also, make sure you have all administrator rights on this computer when you log in or turn it on.
