Is C-Max compatible with Mac OS 10.6?

Maybe. C-Max installs and runs on Fedora and CentOS (both Linux distros). So why not Darwin (OS-X)? - after all, it's just another Linux distro; but, with prepaid tech support :-).
---
Requires the "wine" package. Also you need to set up the COM ports. See:
---
http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/wine/94500-serial-ports-wine.html
---
If you don't have a DB-9 style serial port, Get one of those $10 USB-serial adapters (I had to). In which case, COM1 -> /dev/ttyUSB0. Just do a "ls /dev/tty*" command to see what it got recognized as.
---
If Darwin comes with SELinux - the NSA specified security Extensions to Linux, there will be a security problem. As Root, (or system admin: "users & groups") just identify the group that owns the device and add the group to your userid.

Can't you also run it under a windows virtual machine - does wine spit out any execution errors when running c-max?

No strange messages. Installs, removes, and executes without artifacts. I've tested v1.70h, v1.70j, v2.00a, & v2.00d.
---
The packages required are wine and wine-tools. My test platform is CentOS (the open distribution of RHEL - not the most bleeding edge distro out there :-)
---
Don't forget
.wine/dosdevices/com1 is a link to /dev/ttyS0
---
To create the symbolic link: In dosdevices issue "ln -s /dev/ttyS0 com1"
---
Permissions: find the owner group of /dev/ttyS0 and add that group to your userid (enroll your userid in that group's permissions).
---
Haven't used Hyper-V R2 much. I mostly use Xen for VM. Have fun dedicating the serial port to the VM "user domain" running C-Max. Wine is easier.

To get "wine" for Darwin (OS-X) - AKA "darwine" - cute eh?
