Bonjour to all

Last week, a few minutes power failure result in a speak Easy lost of voice. My setup is connected to UPS, but my guess, computer drain out the battery. When power came back, Ocelot did start as normal, but the audio functions did not starts back. When the speakeasy tries to "speak" we only can ear the forst 1/100 of second of the sond and then, stop.

I am trying to record back over this morning, but the Green LED comes green for 1/100' of a second without recording new sound....

Is my sprak Easy :

1 - Broken
2 - not address correctly (will try later )
3 - ever happend to some one else.

thanks

Gazou

In C-Max, does C-Max report seeing the SpeakEZ in the Controller Access screen?

yes, I can see it, and I can send a "play" fonction from it, it starts the first 1/100 second of the sound (that I can ear, it is the good sound) but time is not long enough.

Could some module parameter be off? Try retrieving the module parameters and post them here.

4 = 0
5 = 0
6 = 0
7 = 240
8 = 85
9 = 1

In C-Max, click Module Utilities, Retrieve Module Parameters. Check parameter 5. It should be either 0 for a message length of 4.8 seconds, 1 for a message length of 10 seconds or 2 for a message length of 20 seconds. What is parameter 5 set to?

I am more inclined to reset the SpeakEZ to factory default settings.

Connect the SpeakEZ directly to the Ocelot with no other modules connected. Set the address to 255 (parameter 1).

Cycle power to the SpeakEZ then the Ocelot. The SpeakEZ should be at address 1 at that point. You can then re-set the address and see if the problem is resolved.

That was a major fix, but followed the simple step by step and ........ it is working. If I would have loved to find that before on the forum, I would have tried it.

Even the audo bank is still there (exept the 2 that I tried re-record)...........

Wow, thanks a lot, that is great and my wife is back happy (WAF back to 0).... (for how long????)

Thanks Again Kevin et merci beaucoup (encore) Guy

(search words : reset speak easy, reboot, audio problem)
