I am assuming you're current module is at address 1 and you are wanting to make the new module number 2.

There are two ways to do this: either auto address both modules or just auto address the new module by itself. Which method you use is up to you.

Method 1: Address both modules.

Take the top off both modules and connect the new module to the exsisting setup. In C-Max, click Controller Utilities, Auto Address Modules. A window will appear reading "Looking for Module 1." Wait about 1 minute.

Press and release the white button on the module you want to be module 1. The window will read "Looking for Module 2."

Press and release the white button on the module you want to be module 2. The window will read "Looking for Module 3."

Click Abort. Close and re-launch C-Max. You should see both modules.

Meathod 2: Address just the new module.

Take the top off of the new module and connect it to the Ocelot without the exsisting module connected.

In C-Max click Controller Utilities, Auto Address Modules. A red window will appear reading looking for Module 1. Wait about 1 minute. Click the next button so the the window reads "Looking for Module 2."

Press and release the white button on the inside of the module. The window will read "Looking for Module 3."

Click Abort and exit C-Max. Connect the two modules to the Ocelot. Cycle power to the Ocelot.

Go back into C-Max and it should read both modules.

Thanks that worked well \:\)

I was wondering if I can use one of the relays to trigger a garage door opener? I have a regular 2 wire push button switch and was wondering if I could use one of the relays to that..to open and close the door....

Thanks

Yes, the SECU16 output relays can be used to "push" the button, assuming that the button is a normally opened contact. The only problem is that in most cases, the same button ccan open and close the door, depending on it's current position. If you want to do a specific operation (like close the door if its open but do nothing if it's already closed) then you would need to put a sensor like a magnetic alarm contact on an input so that your program can "know" the current status of the door and only press the button if needed.
