I have 3 Secu-16's with a speak easy (module 3) and an ocelot. Module 4 will not allow me to reset the parms. Also, all the input values are 0. It will allow me to set and reset relays. It was working fine, but quit abruptly. I noticed that the push buttons attached stopped responding. When I looked, parms 2,3 were 0. Checked wiring to the device and it is fine.

I notice that the scan rate is much slower as well. The module parameter scan command is very inconsistent. I get different results for modules 1-3 with different scans, but module 4 is always 0. I notice that C-max looks for far more than 4 devices on the module scan.

I tried resetting the module, (with the reset button) but that made no difference.

Is this a device failure or something else?

It looks like module #4 might have a problem or need to be readdressed. Try connecting just module #4 and do the autoaddressing procedure, skipping module numbers until it is looking for module #4, then press its button. This sill not only readdress the module, but set the highest module number that it scans for to 4 as well. If you can get it addressed and then communicating normally, then try reconnecting the other modules and see if everything now works.

Also check out module parameter #4 as explained here:

The documentation says SECU-16 parm 4 is the HIGH Threshold setting. The other 2 are set to 255. Should this really be 0?

High threshold is parameter 3 as explained here:

http://www.appdig.com/Secu16/secu16.html

Parameter 4 relates to the way the module responds to a status request from the controller, and should be set to 0 for the Ocelot and Leopard controllers.
