Wild Bill Wild Bill newbie Registered: 08/02/04 Posts: 8 Loc: Suffolk, VA	I have 7 secu16's connected to my home automation system. Today I installed a new temperature sensor I built and connected it to an analog input of one of the secu16's. I see the data being read by looking at the module parameters. When I read this analog value into a variable, I only get "0000". I am reading into variable 95. What am I doing wrong? I have done this with other sensors and it worked.

Also, how many other analog values (on this and/or other modules) are you tracking? _________________________ "If you don't know what you're doing, do it neatly..."

Wild Bill Wild Bill newbie Registered: 08/02/04 Posts: 8 Loc: Suffolk, VA	The voltage across the input is about .8 volts which shows around a 39 in parameter 17 of the module. I will have to check my program to see how many other analog values I am tracking. Is there a limit on this?

Guy Lavoie Guy Lavoie Beyond All Hope Registered: 12/21/02 Posts: 6401 Loc: Montreal, QC, Canada	Yes. The limit is 30 program lines of the type "If Module/Param...". When the executive first starts up, it goes through the program and builds up a table of analog values (and slave variables) the it will need to track. This table has a maximum of 30 entries. Guy Lavoie Guy Lavoie Beyond All Hope Registered: 12/21/02 Posts: 6401 Loc: Montreal, QC, Canada	Unfortunately, it's the first 30 "If Module/Param" statements...even if several of them check the same input. If this is the case, then you can save some repetitive input statements by capturing the value in a variable and then testing the variable in the additionnal statements, such as: IF Module #1 SECU16 Analog #1 is <256 //always true... THEN Load Data To Variable #33 IF Variable #33... THEN ... IF Variable #33... THEN _________________________ "If you don't know what you're doing, do it neatly..."
