Two seperate problems - as far as I know!
Problem A - XP, SP3, Cmx e5, Toshiba laptop with no serial port - using i concepts adapter with prolific driver - 8, N, 1, None, using fifo, low through fast for this problem or not - whew!
Anyway - I can send my exec, my program, and my tch files, but I cannot send my (only) main icon. I consistently get to - TI. bmp, to 1200, 320 X 240 #0 - and - Bank 5a, Block 3 - when I get Lost Communications. The TX 'lite' stays on and the RX 'lite' stays off once this happens.
Enough clues? - I suspected icon bmp transfers were just different - maybe longer blocks - so I tried all possble combinations in Windows System Device Manager Serial Port Properties that seemed to have to do with flow, speed or size. I either lost comm all together or keep my problem as described. Disabling, Re-Enabling the device in Device Manager resets comms, but not for the icon transfer.
Problem B - when I first start X10 monitor in CMax, I get a burst of activity recorded, typically in J house code, sometimes in O but always only 'even' unit codes. It goes away, and I can't always recreate it, but it is recorded as such a burst of activity I can't imagine it is real. My 'transformer neighbors' do not seem to create any activity that any other system can record - I just see this this J traffic in Cmax. Any clues - peculiarities in Cmax or X10 code structure? Noise from my USB - Serial adapter system?
And just 1 more request... from the old days I find I often naturally think in 'For X = Y to Z' type statements - anybody have a short snippet that quickly reproduces this style command for CMax type statements?
Thanks for any and all replies!
