Hi All,
I've been reading up a fair bit on ways to connect my Leo II to my home network. I have read about the EPS1 Guy and some others have used but I cannot get my hands on one of these and everything else I have found seems to be too bloody expensive.
Ideally, I would like to spend around the $50AUD mark.
Lying around in an old box of computer crap I have is a serial to ethernet adaptor. Its an Xircom Pocket Ethernet III Adapter (PE3-10Bx) although they are no longer supported. I'm not sure if this is going to be helpful in my mission.
Eventually, what I would like to be able to achieve is;
- Connect to the Leo using Cmax on any PC on my LAN - The Leo to have a Static IP on my LAN - Be able to send X-10 & IR commands from the internet (remotely) and have my Leo issue them. - Be able to send X-10 & IR commands from my Pocket PC and have my Leo issue them.
Before I even start thinking about sending commands, I first need to get the Leo II onto my network.
This is where I need some help! What are my options? I can solder if a serial/terminal server kit exists.
Cheers Sash
