I'm trying to create a screen navigation method that doesn't eat up so many 'objects.' (I want to put a sticker on the bottom that says << < do > >>, and expects 'area presses' (rather than button presses) common to all screens.)

There's a broken reference http://www.appdigsupport.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=8;t=000012 that seems to suggest this is possible.

I've also tried the code in the LII manual (p41), for all combo's of P6 and P26, and can get only a Module # change (Var 2, forced to X, changes back to 0 on button press).

A. Is the code in the manual correct? For what combo of parameter 6 and 26?

B. Any other suggestions?

Also, just a note, the company link to the L I manual needs a '-new' added to the link.

Lots of views....am I unclear?

#1 How to get grid locations into program memory for use!

I can offer working template file(s) later with excel spreadsheet to track object assignments - when I get this working!

By the way - newbie isn't quite right - new registration - been using Leopard for years, expansion has driven changes in object assignments! Please help - I tried all combos I could reason out and searches I could figure out

I think you're referring to this:

It is a useful alternative way to get more then 256 "buttons", but there still needs to be a button object covering the grid square that you're touching in order to detect the touch event. But you can have one large button covering many squares and then still detect the individual squares being touched.
