Here is my situation, if anybody can help me it would be much appreciated.
So I have this switchlincII and it is giving me trouble. There are two lights on the same circuit in one room, two switches control them and they are on the same x10 code, m3.
The switch controlling light 2 failed so I bought a new 2476dh on EBAY. The guy was out of the 600 watt units so he substituted a 1000. I install the switch, have a really hard time setting the code and when I finally set it, it will not respond to x10 ons and offs but it can control the other light, it seems to be able to transmit but not receive.
I RMAed it to Smarthome, the ebay guy asks me again if I will take the 1000 because he is out of the 600s. I say OK and the new switch is acting exacty like the old one. I switch the switches and the switch that was working on light 1 works on light 2, my new 1000 watt unit is still acting the same. I replace the non-working switch with a lamp module and it works perfectly. One day for about 1/2 hour the 1000 watt switch worked perfectly, it was responding to a motion sensor and obeying some x10 ons and offs. I have a phase coupler, true that it may be bad but my old switchlinc and my lamp module always work correctly. I only have one 220 device, a water heater but after running the shower it is on but not making my sick switchlinc work.
Sorry for the long story. Suggestions?
