We haven't had an update in the C-Max software for 1 1/2 years now. There are still issues with Vista as well as other known bugs. Any news on an update or has this software been orphaned??

Thanks,
Jeff

We don't have any problems with Vista. What problems are you having?

We are coming out with a new version of C-Max that will allow you to select which ASCII messages and IR commands you want to load, so instead of having to load the entire memory location, you can select IR commands 10-20 or ASCII commands 20-50 for example so you don't have to wait 15 minutes for a load.

One of the Vista issues that's been annoying is window sizes. The window in the editor is always too small and must be resized to keep from getting scroll bars for the window. The resize is never remembered from one program run to the next. I'm also getting incorrect sunrise and sunset times. My coordinates are: -84.576 and 39.250, TZ -5. I have "Use Daylight Savings Time" checked, params 4 and 5 are both 1, I'm running 8.23/14 v3.18 and my sunrise/set times are off by about 40 mins. They should be approx sunrise 7:36, sunset 7:23 but are showing up in C-Max as sunrise 8:16 sunset 8:07. Any ideas??

Thanks,
Jeff

Where are you located? I'm in Montreal, Canada which is the Eastern timezone (-5 as you have) with a latitude of 45.30 and longitude of 73.35. Notice that my longitude is a positive number because my timezone is negative. If your longitude is set to -84.576 as you seem to indicate, try removing the minus sign.

Thanks Guy,

I had just hung up with support and they had me do the same thing. That did the trick! Why would you not use neg longitude numbers since we're in the western hemisphere? Don't they sell units worldwide, meaning would the sunrise/sunset computations still be accurate for the eastern hemisphere?

Thanks,
Jeff

Strange SW, I've to use negative numbers to get the sunrise sunset correct. I'm in +1 GMT, but I must use -1 to get S S right.
