For years now I have been happily running my family room lights off the PCS Lighting Scenemaster LM4/2000 X10 controller (of course in conjunction with Ocelot). The family room was a new addition and I prewired with the LM4 in mind. I guess I took my eye off PCS for a while. I know they were working/pushing UPB, but it escaped me that they discontinued all their X10 Scenemaster products (and when they did that).
I only found out because while preparing to paint said family room, I popped a breaker whilst uninstalling my ceiling fan. (Yes, I did turn off the breaker (so I thought), but I turned off the wrong breaker in my panel. Doh!
The end result was a momentary short on one of the LM4 loads. After resetting the breaker, I found I lost ALL lights on the LM4. So a little exploratory surgery uncovered a fuse inside the LM4, and I replaced that. Then I had three working LM4 Loads, and one load (the shorted load) stuck ON.
Then I started to roll for a new LM4 (and noted they were discontinued). I trolled several places, looking for someone who may have leftovers, but came up short. (Anyone know any PCS X-10 items for sale anyplace?)
So back to the drawing board. A little more exploratory work on the LM4 and I found that the TRIAC on that circuit was blown (and shorted ON). Fortunately Digikey stocks the TRIAC, and a was able to replace it with some invasive surgery and repair the LM4.
So I'm back and running, but I'd still be interested in sourcing some spare PCS products. I have 4 SSR slave remote switches, and if one of them goes, I'm sunk.
Does anyone know of any leftover PCS X10 Scenemaster stock or source?
