The inputs going to zeros when you read them could be an indication that you are getting intermittent communications between the Ocelot and the SECU16I. Just to clarify:

Are all the inputs on the SECU16I intermittently going to 0? Do they do it at the same time?

Half of the inputs are set up for supervised and I haven't noticed a problem. The remaining 8 are set for analog and two that I have tested are going to zero. I tried swapping mux chips with no success.

Look at the comms light on the SECU16I. Does it flash continually or are there breaks in the flashing?

The COM lite on both the SECU16I and SECU16 do not flash continuously like the one on the Ocelot.

While waiting for answer from Kevin Barret on my module problem, I decided to load 2.00d and port over my old code. I must say this is some nice stuff. I really appreciate the way the system map generates self documenting code. My hats off to the ADI team! Anyway when I loaded up the Ocelot I realized that my module problem is gone. Could it be I had a bad copy of the 1.70j executive? I'll keep an eye on it but it's looking ok right now. Thanks again for all your help. Besides the quality of the ADI hardware, everyone involved with this forum and the ADI support staff make home automation a pleasant experience.

I would be quite surprised if it was a bad executive. C-Max 1.70 was around for about a year and I don't remember anyone reporting the problem you had. There were two executive versions that worked with 1.70 : These were 3.00 and 3.01. I think the difference was an improvement in IR code recognition or something like that.

Mind you nothing is impossible and maybe there was an obscure bug that only affected the SECU16I reading in analog mode (I think there many more SECU16's then SECU16I's out there) but like you said, keep your eye on it. Has the comms LED blink rate/steadiness changed since you installed 2.00d?

The blinking didn't change when I switched to 2.00d. I am not sure what it is supposed to look like since I never spent much time watching it. The COMS lite blinks at a fast rate but occasionally stops when the active lite comes on.

That sounds normal. A module's comms will usually blink a few seconds and then pause for maybe a half second or so. The controller's comms should blink almost continuously, with the occasional pause too.
