Here is a snippet that I use to announce special days (birthdays,
anniversaries, holidays, etc) on my Leopard screen. It also plays the
Leopard Beeper (var 61) to get your attention and plays a corresponding
message on a SpeakEZ module.

This routine repeats itself every 30 minutes between 6 am and 11 pm.
