I can't address t-bobcats, and becouse I can't address 8 bobcats from 10, I think it is troubles not (or not only) with bobcats. "Autoaddress" can't feel that I touch the autoadress button. And I can't address.
Some t-bobcats can be seen as #1 module, but I can't change the address or I can make "autoadresse", but the address stil remains #1, and data for module=0, and "retrieve the module parameters" hangs writing "retrieving parameter 0" many -many times.
Ocelot, firmware V8.23/58, application V3.08, when I can get adress of t-bobcat I can see vers3.
How can I adress?

Have you tried holding down the addressing button on the bobcat for 2 or more seconds during the procedure? Sometimes this is needed for it to work. Just hold it down until the "Looking for module #...
" window changes.

I held down more than 2 seconds. I noticed that I have problems with bobcats with 5-page manual , but with 1page manual too. I use the bobcats with ocelot alone, without other modules - one bobcat and one ocelot.

Are you saying that the bobcats seem to work ok when you only put 1 or 2, but that you have problems when you try to use many bobcats on the same system?

No, I use test set up with one bobcat- T and one Ocelot. The bobcats work unstable or didn't work. I didn't noticed such a behaviour yerlier. And I can't imagine that 80% of bobcats-T didn't work, but I have such situation. May be it is some misunderstanding between ocelot and bobcat firmware? Is software versions that I use good working? I have had problems with "reload the executives" ocelots, may be it is some new problem? I can't find it this forum that some has problems like mine's.

No. 3.11 was brought out to address the need for some Leopard users to not have the backlight turn on when IR is received. There is no difference that I'm aware of for the Ocelot.

Try this.

After starting the AutoAddress, wait 30 seconds before pressing the address button on the Bobcat. When the Bobcat enters autoaddress mode, the LED will blink at a fast rate. When the Bobcat has accepted the new address the LED will blink at a slower rate. If you press the address button on the Bobcat and the LED does not slow down, try pressing it again until the LED blinks at a slower rate. When the address has been accepted, CMax will show the next address to be addressed.

Dansing with the bobcat
1 Swithc on Ocelot and bobcatT, connect to cpu
comms emitting diode on ocelot flash onse a second, led on bobcat flash once a second (half a second lights, half a second not lights)
2 Begin autoaddresse mode. Ocelot comms led flash once per 6 second, led on bobcat flash 4-5 times a second. I wait 2-3 minutes, more than 40 seconds.
3 Push autoaddress button on bobcat. Bobcat led turns off. After some time (to some minutes) of pushing ocelot didn't recognices bobcat, but bobcat's led flash once a second.

I have 3 secu16 and T-Bobcat. After power reset Leopard can t see modules, autoadresse don t work. Only reload executives and manual change ofparameter 3 can help. Without T-bobcat Leopard can find the modules after power reset.

Sounds like the bobcat is bad. Especially if you can address and then see the other modules when the bobcat is removed. Have you tried the bobcat all by itself to see if it can be addressed?

Some new problems
I've found some t bobcats and try to address , but I have the problem - when I try to autoaddress module, led on module didn't blinks friequently and I can't address it.
I use only one bobcat in 485 net.
Is it hardware or firmware problem? Why active led on tbobcat blink only once a second in autoaddress mode?

If the module is correctly connected and you initiate an autoaddressing session from C-Max, the comms LED on the module might blink slowly and regularly.

the modules is correctly connected, but some modules didn't blink friequently when I make auto addressing.
I didn't reassemble bobcats, my be it is some problem in firmware?
May be ADI tech support can help me with a little help from You?
May be it will be usefull - the numbers of bobcats are
02088327
02088343
02088351
02088322
02088319
02088326

some of bobcats has "v3" written with black pencil on small paper with dosh code.

I can't see the firmware version becouse I can't address bobcats.
It seems that was some errors in pruducing or downloadin of firmware on some times- the bobcats number are as it was from one bad batch.

You can try and ask ADI support about a possible bad batch. Send an email to adiinfo@appdig.com

I sent a message to ADI support.
But I am very dreary ;<)
I have two t bobcats with active LED steady on.
Do this means that pic is bad?
I don't mean than ADI make bad bobcats, I just collect bad bobcats from all the Russia, Russia is huge and there are many ADI fans in Russia.

It could be that the comms chip in the bobcats have gone bad. The comms chip is the most likely part to get damaged by things like power surges, etc. The problem is is that on the bobcats the comms chip is a small surface mount, soldered-in part that you cannot replace yourself (unless you have the special tools to do that).

Guy, can You please tell me, 24LC028 chip in bobcats - it contain only parameters?
I try to transfer ver.3 firmware from good bobcat on non-addressable bobcats, but it didn't work. Do I have to program 24LC028 too? Is 24LC028 code depending on pic's firmware version?

I replase comms chip in bobcat with almost steady led on (it blinks very friequently so eyes can't see ), but it didn't work.
Comm's chip was definitely bad (I measured voltages on it's pins, it differ from ones on good bobcat), but it is possible than pic is bad too. I will try weiter.
